The Strawheads

The Strawheads are English singer song-writing musicians from Cambridgeshire making melodic, guitar-based hooky and thoughtful songs. (Think Ed Sheeran, Jamie Lawson, Charlie Puth, Jason Derulo, Ron Sexsmith, Crowded House and Del Amitri).

Formerly known as a 4 piece band 'The Sunkings', their signature sound is one of close harmony duet vocals delivered by the unique blend of the gravel-voiced Graham Buxton and the smooth dulcet vocal of Stephen Bottomley. Once called, 'The Disclaimers' (in reference to 'The Proclaimers') they have also been likened to The Everly Brothers of the 21st Century. Their infectious brand of music has been described from "honey coated barbed wire" to "more like Coke than regular pop". Debut album 'Cheats, Dead Beats and Creeps' is out Autumn (fall) 2016.
